Resize image: free online, private and unlimited

Resize images by pixels or percentage

Resize image changes the dimensions of one or many pictures. Enter a width, a height or both, or scale by percentage. Keep aspect ratio is on by default so nothing is stretched, and images are not enlarged unless you allow it.

Good for websites, social media and email

Smaller dimensions load faster and fit layouts. Resize photos to 1200 pixels wide for a blog, 1080 for social posts or 800 for email, and download the results one by one or as a ZIP. You can also choose the output format (JPG, PNG or WebP) and the quality in the same step.

Sharp results

When an image is reduced a lot, it is scaled down in several steps with high quality smoothing, which keeps edges and text clearer than a single jump. To also shrink the file size, run the result through the Image Compressor.

Your images stay private

Resizing happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no limit on the number of images.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image without losing quality?

Reduce the dimensions rather than enlarge them, keep aspect ratio on and use a high quality setting for JPG or WebP.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Drop them together and all use the same settings.

How do I resize to a specific width?

Enter the width in pixels and leave the height on Auto. The height is calculated from the aspect ratio.

Can I make an image bigger?

Yes, switch on Allow enlarging. Enlarged photos can look soft because new pixels have to be estimated.

Is this tool really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no daily limit and no watermark.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The tool runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device.

Does it work on mobile and tablets?

Yes. It works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop, tablet and phone.
