How to edit text in a PDF
Choose the Edit text tool and click on any line of text. The tool covers the old text with a clean white box and puts an editable text box in the same place, using the same size and a similar font and colour. Type your correction, press Escape or click outside, and the change is part of the page. To add completely new text, use the Text tool, click where you want it and start typing. You can change font, size, colour, bold and italic at any time.
Sign a PDF online
Use the Sign tool to draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, or type your name and pick a handwriting style. The signature is placed as an image that you can move and resize. It works well for contracts, forms, permission slips and invoices that only need a visual signature.
Annotate, highlight and fill forms
Highlight text in five colours, draw a circle around a figure, point at something with an arrow or add a check mark or cross in a form box. Every item can be selected, moved, resized, duplicated or deleted, and Undo and Redo keep you safe while you work. Because the editor places text anywhere on the page, you can also use it to fill in PDF forms that have no fillable fields.
Things to know
Edited text is written with standard PDF fonts (sans-serif, serif or monospace), so it may look slightly different from a custom font in the original. Text in languages that standard fonts cannot display, such as Hindi or Arabic, is added as an image so it still shows correctly. PDFs that need a password to open must be unlocked first.

You can cover it with the Whiteout tool. Note that whiteout hides content visually. If information is highly sensitive, also use a flattened copy, for example by exporting the page with PDF to JPG and rebuilding it with JPG to PDF.
